At the highest level, you can expect about 50% ground beef, 20% roasts, 20% steaks, and 10% miscellaneous cuts like ribs, cross-cut shanks, and stew meat. This can vary due to ordering more steaks instead of roasts or grind more into ground beef. Our helpful and friendly beef processor, Seth, at Moran Locker would be happy to work with you.
Planning freezer space is important when buying a beef share. You will need approximately 8-10 cu. ft freezer space for a 1/2 beef and approximately 16-20 cu. ft for a whole beef.
